The Best Place on Earth!

I just wanted to tell the world that the BEST PLACE ON EARTH is LDS FAMILY SERVICES where I am so blessed to work with the greatest people ever! The other secretaries there are more awesome than you could ever imagine, like Chelsea.... she is a blonde bombshell hottie!!! Louise is the best child therapist there is on the face of the earth. Nanon, well, if there were ever a teen with problems, she could work miracles! Now, probably, this post wouldn't be on my blog if it weren't for the lovely ladies in the office. I accidentaly left myself logged into my account so, these wonderful people are taking advantage of my blog and helping me with my posts.... aren't they WONDERFUL!!!!

wow what has gotten into me?

wow! I am feeling oddly sentimental today. It has to be because with my normal blog surfing I have come upon some very inspirational blogs. Those who have lost little children to illness or accidents, miscarriages, etc. I think of those people that are going through these trials and am in awe. They are amazing. My heart aches for them, for I cannot think of anything worse than that. These people find hope and comfort in these trials and stand strong with faith in their hearts. It makes me think about mine own life. Would I be able to do it? I think about my own mother losing one of her precious children to a heart defect and how hard that must have been. She is amazing, I never give her enough credit. I truly am grateful for all that I have. My beautiful children, strong and capable husband, amazing and supportive family. Lately I have felt weighed down by the normal "stuff in life. You know finances, potty training, etc. Letting the world and all the crazy stuff in it get to me and thus not treating those around me--especially my husband, as he seems to be the one that I usually take stuff out on--with the love and respect that I should. I love these moments--a reality check ,if you will, from the lord. A realization of my blessings-all of them- well not all of them because as human being I will never begin to understand all that the lord has blessed me with. But I need and feel blessed to have these moments to take a step back and gain a new perspective.
On a different note I will be better about blogging and updating all the crazy things that have happened lately. Still trying to find my memory card to my camera, brighton truly is the best at hiding things sometimes. Oh and bookclub ladies--you know who you are-- I have started reading my book-A girl named zippy. You better get going because this book is so funny skimming over it will not do it enough justice!

Yikes!

Okay I know I am bad with blogging lately but brighton has put my memory card somewhere I just have to find it. but anyways have tons of zuchinni from my garden and just made some yea did not turn out that good. So wondering any of you out there have a good one? If ya do let me know I really want some yummy bread!

mommy poop on ground...its gross

five little words make my heart just about stop. I am in ez's room feeding him and just about to put him down for a nap. I quickly set him in his crib and run to brighton's room. No nothing there, the bathroom is next. I am praying oh please let it be the bathroom at least everything there is bleach safe and scrubbable. Nope my luck is not that good, nothing there. Okay my room, I walk in and the smell hits me. CRAP literally crap. Brighton walks in behind me and points to my side of the bed, yes at least I can throw away these sheets. Nope there it is on my side of the bed but on the floor two distinct smelly, gross blobs of poop. I hate these moments when you are the mom, and you realize that you have to clean it up. Yuck! After about five minutes of profanities in my head 15 sprays of 409 carpet spray ,and what seemed like million paper towels the stain is still there but at least it doesn't stink anymore. Then I look around because something still stinks, and oh now I want to scream but I can't because ez is still taking a nap. Yea he stuck my phone charger in the poop, now I have poop stained carpet that smells like 409 and one stinky phone charger. Shit.

Bear Lake!

Oh Bear Lake was so much fun! Seriously I've only been there a few time but never to the north shore. There is just a sandbar for about 250 ft of water only up to your knees and the water was warm! We went swimming at 5:30 in the evening and both my boys were running( in ez's case crawling) for a few hours without getting cold. The picture above is so cool thanks to my awesome sister in law kamilla she also too also the other pictures because of course I forgot my camera what else is new?

Brighton loved playing in the sand and a bunch of kids before had built all these little sand castles. Brighton of course got sand all over.

Ez loved the sand a little too much. After he got one taste of it I had to take him out of the water because he just kept wanting more. Thanks to the bells for an awesome weekend!

Is it that bad...yes it is. I am obssessed.

Seriously I knew I shouldnt read this book because I do tend to get a little obssessive when I do. But I was pushed over the edge when my best friend said I just had to read them. Oh yes and I read them. I read all three books in 5 days. Count that just 5. My husband was just about to kill me from ignoring him--sorry about the honey--Honestly its a little bit embarrassing to admit it but I cannot wait for the last one to come out. I was at costco today and they the third book on sale and there was a special excerpt in there for the breaking dawn and I almost considered buying for just a second. Well just one little tiny second and yea I know the whole book comes out tonight but I want read it right then. Too bad I had my kids with me or else I probably would have. Yup just read this post and it is confirmed I truly am a dork!

So Cal!!!!

Cali was so much fun! I love my fam and it was so good that we could all get together and finally have an awesome vaca it gets so crazy now that most of us are married with kids. Anyways the pic above is of Balboa Park its cool its not actually a park but a bunch of different muesems, we only went to the train one because of brighton and his cute cousin zach. But its all these old buildings with way cool architecture--definetely recommend to anyone.

Found this way cool mexican restaurant and it was so yummy. Thanks again Dad. Oh above that is my little bro jesse and my sis des with her husband scott. My sister is so cute she is 7 months pregnant and they are having a boy yay!

We went to the beach so much. I was worried because most of you who know brighton know that he is crazy and has now fear when it comes to water. Well this was no different but he did not like the salt water on his face so we were lucky on that one.

Falling asleep in church

Okay I just wish I would have had at least my phone -so I could take a picture- with me today at church. Normally sacrament meeting which is last is a total struggle to keep my kids quiet. Well I came in after I got ezra asleep and Brighton was just playing under the bench with his cars, something he always does, but usually he moves onto trying to escape from us underneath the benches. Well this week matt turns to me and says bri is totally asleep. Oh yea that kid can sleep through anything and he did. He was on his stomach totally asleep. Now here is the greatest thing we picked him up put him in the car, drove home, and put him on the couch and he still slept for another hour. All while I made dinner. I guess all we need to do from now on to keep our kids from being noisy in church is run them ragged all weekend long. Who would have thought?

New Haircut!

From this to that..

Oh yea, this little boy defintely needed a haircut and he got it! Luckily he sat still for me which is usually not the case. But I just stuck on his fav movie--toy story 2 for right now--- and he was in the zone.
I know I missed a spot right there on the side, if you can see that little curl. In fact I am going to go fix that right now.

Sometimes its just sad to read the news

I need to change the homepage for my internet. Every single time I open it a headline catches my eye and I have a hard time not reading some things, but honestly some articles I wish I never would have seen. I am not going to say what the one today was about but it broke my heart and as I see that there is so much bad in the world I am hopeful and look towards the good. I think its good to know that this is reality and that bad things happen but I need to look forward with hope and resolve that we are going to do better and we will make this world a better place! Sorry guys kind of a depressing post, I am going to go clean and hopefully I will have time to post later today of something fun.

Do ya ever have those days where it seems no matter what you do your kids are one step ahead of you? This happened in a matter of minutes with brighton after I had sprayed of our back porch area. Rather than be mad(which I wanted too) I had to laugh and take some pics.

He literally was covered in mud. I don't always find all the crazy things he does so funny though, with the pics above he ripped all the petals off my vlowers. Really where does he get these crazy ideas?

ohh gut bomb--

So I am sitting here at six in the morning blogging and why might I be doing this at such an unsightly hour? At eight last night I got a craving for a way yummy dessert at chilis and some of their appetizers. So Matt got takeout and of course I ate way too much we got the chicken fingers and artichoke dip, it was soo good but way greasy and I really never eat greasy food so when I do I get so sick. Seriously I feel like I am going to throw up, I hate this.
On a way different note I trying to think of cute fathers day gifts for matt to do with my kids and any ideas would greatly be appreciated!

Well as much as I tried I could not add my friends and music back with the old template. So I will be going back to the old one until I can figure it out. On another note okay so I loved Kristins and Jennas quirks, so I am going to copy them with some weird quirks of my own that make me just me.
1. After I wash my hands I cannot touch anything until I put lotion on them. Seriously its almost like nails scratching on a chalkboard to me.
2. I love, love love to workout. Any type of workout too. Its not as much to stay in shape as much as it is a mental release for me. My goal one day is too compete in a triathalon, but I need a lot more time and money to be able to do that.
3. Traveling is one of the coolest things to do. I would seriously have a smaller house and older cars if I could travel all the time. I know its not possible with small kids--trust me we have tried-- so until then I will just dream and hopefully when the kids are a little older we can make those dreams reality.
4. I am the worst backseat driver. It drives matt crazy, so I tell well then let me drive and that never flys.
5. I used to cliff jump off 50 foot cliffs in college, and now I am the biggest wuss. Two summers ago I tried to jump off just a 30 foot and almost couldn't go through with it.
6. I want to be a gardener and have an awesome vegetable garden and lots of flowers. I hope this will be the summer where I can finally do that but I have no idea where to start.
There is tons more but I have yardwork to do so enjoy everyone!

I just changed background of blog--LOVE IT!!! Except for the color that can be easily fixed but I lost all my friends and music how do I fix this? Anyone

I love spring--almost summer!

Woohoo! I am so excited. Seriously I don't know who planted these tulips in our front lawn but they rock(obviously it was the previous owners but this house has had so many I don't know which one). I have always wanted to have a garden and plant flowers--well pretty much since that little stint where I worked for the infamous flowerama. Horrible name but it was awesome.


Yea I hate these random rocks in our yard. We have them all over and have no idea what to do with them. So if anyone wants a bunch of rocks just call us. Seriously I want to get rid of them call us.

Toddlers-- and keeping a house clean!

These cupcakes used to have lifesaver gummies on them. Of course Brighton got to them and the rest is history. Sometimes when when I am frustrated with him I just have to laugh because seriously the kids can be so funny.

On the other hand Matt and I just organized this pantry and I love it. There is something about when you organize and get rid of all the junk that just feels good!

It has been way too long!

Okay so as you can see with the last picture we are just about to start potty training brighton so we got him some cool lightning mcqueen underwear--It was so funny he thought it was a shirt and was so frustrated that he couldn't put it on. If anyone has any tips for potty training little boys I would greatly appreciate it. Oh the other pics were just too cute so I had to post them.

The beginning of all posts and Easter!!

Okay so I feel like I am one of the last people to get on the blog train, but hey better late than never, right? Thank you Kristin for starting yours you inspired me. So easter was just a few weeks ago and I loved it! I don't know what it is but having little kids around the holidays so much better. Actually I do know what it is, everything is a new experience for them--therefore everything is just exciting and magical. I love coloring eggs, doing an easter egg hunt, and getting together with family. Most of all I love what easter represents, the resurrection of our savior, jesus christ. Thanks dad for your talk. I loved it and mom for inviting me and matt for taking care of ezra so I could listen to it. Although that did leave me to take care of brighton and when he was trying to escape(an often occurrence) I tried to pick him up and yep I hurt my back again. I swear if it weren't for the rest of my body I would be an 80-year old woman.
